Overactive bladder is a type of bladder-control problem that affects more than 33 million Americans of all ages. It occurs when the muscled of the bladder contract more often than necessary, even when the bladder is not full. This constant contraction causes sudden, overwhelming urges to urinate.

Overactive bladder is a common medical condition, there are many patients that may feel ashamed or embarrassed to discuss it. However, it is important to tell your doctor about your overactive bladder so it can be properly treated. Overactive bladder can be effectively treated with medications most of the time. If medications do not work we have additional treatments such as Interstim Therapy and Botox available for our patients.
