Dr. Farmer is a native of Vicksburg. He received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi College and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Dr. Farmer completed his general surgery and urology residencies at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, both in Jackson. Dr. Farmer joined Urology Associates in 1997.

Dr. Farmer is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Farmer is a member of the American Urological Association and the Mississippi State Medical Association. Dr. Farmer has hospital privileges at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Dr. Farmer is married with three children.
